Diagnosis. Patrera tensa resembles P. pellucida by the similar embolus and route of the sperm duct in the tegulum of male palp (as in Figs 22A, 23A, 24B) and having small hood in the female epigynum (as in Figs 22F, 23C, 24F), but differ by the absence of retrolateral basal projection in the cymbium, by the narrow retrolateral tibial apophysis which is fan-shaped at the apex and by the enlarged basal area of the median apophysis in the male palp (Figs 11C–E, 12A, B, 13B–E). Females differs by the epigynum presenting small, triangular atrium, with parallel, not coiled copulatory ducts between the spermathecae (Figs 11F, G, 12C, D).
