Flip Needle Driver for Vaginal Repair Surgery

As the rates of delivery by cesarean section are progressively rising, women suffer from its complications increase dramatically, which leads a continual demanding for vaginal repair. The suturing for the horizontal incision of the uterine through vagina is difficult to perform and time-consuming. To facilitate the suturing in the limited space, a novel needle driver is designed to flip the suturing needle without the whole needle driver flipping together. The flip control is at the outside end of the needle driver and the needle driver’s main body can remain unmoved while flipping the suturing needle. The novel needle driver keeps all the advantages of traditional needle driver, such as self-locking, easy to use, hand driven. It will be well accepted by the operating surgeons for its innovative problem solving and similarity to everyday tool.
