Material examined. Three specimens.
Oaxaca: UMAR-POLY 769, 3 spec. (Marina Chahué, Huatulco, on mollusk, May 22, 2000, coll. RBZ).
Habitat. Intertidal to subtidal (17 m, Bastida-Zavala 1995). On mollusk in a dock. Also on dead coral Pocillopora and on spiny oyster Spondylus calcifer (now S. limbatus) (Bastida-Zavala 2008).
Distribution. Mexican Pacific. Baja California Sur to Oaxaca (Bastida-Zavala & ten Hove 2003).
Remarks. From Rioja’s original name Hydroides glandiferum, subsequently changed to Olgaharmania glandifera, it is evident that Rioja intended the specific name to be an adjective which should follow the gender of the genus. Since the genus Hydroides in the meantime is feminine again (ICZN 1999: Art. 30.1.4.4), the correct ending is –a.
Hydroides glandifera is found on corals and mollusks; it is a rare species in the Mexican Pacific.
