Psapharochrus flavitarsis (Fuchs, 1962)

Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) flavitarsis Fuchs, 1962: 322. Psapharochrus flavitarsis; Monné, 2005: 204 (catalogue).

Fuchs (1962) deposited the holotype of this species in the G. Frey collection, which is presently part of the NHMB, contrary to Monné (2005) who considered it to be in ZSMC. This species is illustrated for the first time by the photograph of the female paratype (CHSV).

Specimens examined. BRAZIL, Bahia: Ilhéus, female, XII.1978 (W. Giocomo) (MNRJ). Rio de Janeiro: Rio de Janeiro (Corcovado), male, female, X.1975 (C. A. C. Seabra & M. Alvarenga) (MNRJ). Espírito Santo: Linhares (Parque Sooretama), female, XI.1967 (F. M. Oliveira) (MNRJ). Colatina, macho, XI.1970 (A. Silva) (MNRJ). Santa Catarina: Corupá, macho, III.1941 (A. Maller) (MNRJ). Pinhal, female, XII.1952 (A. Maller) (MNRJ).

Geographical distribution. Brazil (Bahia to Santa Catarina).
