NOTES: (a) Hirschmann (1962: 48) considered Gamasellus (Digamasellus) eremita Berlese to be a senior synonym of A. bicuspidatus Willmann, but this interpretation is not accepted in this publication; (b) Bernhard (1963: 151) suspected L. (I.) semiscissus to be a senior synonym of Lasioseius cetratus Sellnick; (c) Karg (1971b: 273) considered A. bispinatus to be a junior synonym of both A. cetratus and A. semiscissus. We adopted the interpretation of Evans (1955: 289), considering it to be a junior synonym of A. cetratus; (d) Lindquist (1963: 93; 1964b: 3895) and Farrier & Hennessey (1993: 24) considered Arctoseius limburgensis Nesbitt, 1954 to be a junior synonym of Arctoseius cetratus (Sellnick). We adopted the interpretation of Halliday et al. (1998: 16), considering it a junior synonym A. semiscissus.
