FIGURE 1. A–B, Claws of the third pairs of legs (A) and of the fourth pair of legs (B) of Acutuncus antarcticus (Richters). The septum between the basal portion and the secondary branch of the claw (arrow) appear more or less developed in relation with the dimensions of the internal cavities of the claws. C, Claws of the fourth pair of legs of Diphascon cfr. nobilei (Binda). In one of the internal claws the septum between the basal portion and the secondary branch is well visible (arrow), in the other slightly visible. D–G, Claws of Isohypsibius elegans Binda & Pilato. D, Claws of the fourth pair of legs. In one of the internal claws the septum between the basal portion and the secondary branch is well visible (arrow), in the other is slightly visible. E–F, Claws of the first pair of legs (E) and of the second pair (F) of the same specimen. In one of the internal claws (E on the left) the septum between the basal portion and the secondary branch of the claw is absent, in the other claws it is well visible (particularly in F) (arrow). G, claws of the second pair of legs; in the internal claw the septum between the basal portion and the secondary branch is absent, in the external claws it is slightly visible.
