Description

Bidentogon expansus, new species

Bidentogon californicus: Shear, 1972:490–492, figs. 4–5. Hoffman, 1999:438. Shelley, 2002: 108.

Type specimens. Male holotype and one male and two female paratypes (MCZ) collected by M. G. Childs in January 1914 in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California.

Diagnosis Tibiotarsus expanding distad, apically broad and spatulate (Shear 1972, figs. 4­5).

Ecology. The types were collected from debris in a hollow apple tree.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality.
