Introduction. This article explores the analysis of the precedent-based motivation of the titles as well as the determination of the conceptual status of its motivators. The actuality of the research is determined by the importance of the learning of the pragmatic specifics of such titles. Objectives and Goals. Determination of the specifics of the precedent-based motivation of the titles of the modern Ukrainian compositions. Determination of the typology of the precedent-motivated titles, the foundation of the cognitive status of their motivators, establishment of the functional nature of the precedent-based motivation of the titles, analysis of the different types of the precedent phenomena, determination of the source of its origin. Distinguished different by its informational status precedent-based motivators of the nominations of the compositions. Researched the types of the precedent phenomena and the specifics of their source of origin. Determined the functions of the precedent phenomena during the process of the nomination of the compositions of the modern Ukrainian literature. Analyzed the types of the precedent phenomena and established the specifics of their source of origin. Concluded that there is a quiet widespread use of the precedent phenomena in the nomination of the compositions of the modern literature that creates new meanings, originally incorporates the text of the composition into the global historical and cultural context.
