Description
The article analyzes the peculiarities of realization of Pushkin theme and intertext in B. A. Chichibabin’s first book of poems “Frost and sunshine”. The title by itself is a direct reference to Pushkin and has a metatextual function. Not only does the image of Sun act as an intertextual marker but it also is a prevailing theme in the book. We find it in sixteen out of thirty poems of the book. Іn the article a special emphasis is put on the cycle “Poems about Pushkin” which comprises nine interrelated poems joined by Pushkin theme and the poem “A girl at a construction site” which has a special realization of Pushkin itertext. We also regard the usage of intertextual Pushkin insertions which have a morphogenetic function (the poem “Russia, I love you so much…”, the usage of Pushkin iambus). The results of the research lead us to the conclusion that Pushkin theme and intertextual insertions play a major role in Chichibabin’s book and perform a variety of functions. The poet frequently uses recognizable Pushkin images, Pushkin vocabulary, toponyms connected with Pushkin’s biography and work, Pushkin’s typical verse metre (iambus).
