Gagea section Plecostigma (Turcz.) Pascher, Lotos 24: 118 (1904).
Species included: G. afghanica Terracciano (1904: 3), G. chlorantha (M.Bieb.) Schultes & Schultes (1829: 551), G. exilis Vvedensky (1946: 236), G. iranica Zarrei & Zarre (2005: 270), G. olgae Regel (1875: 292), G. uliginosa Siehe & Pascher (1904: 127), and G. wendelboi Rechinger (1986: 291).
