Tinotus major Pace, 1986:107 [description].
Holotype. FMNH, male [‘‘Natal, Erere, 2.IV.1910, Marshall leg’’].
Paratype. HNHM, 1 male [‘‘Tanganyka, Mt. Meru, W slope, Olkokole, 8,700 ft., 26.IX.1965, Dr. Szunyoghy leg.’’].
Type Locality. SOUTH AFRICA: Natal, Erere.
