Description

Our aim with this paper is to provide insight into the issues and challenges of lockdown on migrants and how it impacted the migrants in the long run. We have elucidated the Political aspect, Legal aspect accompanied with concluding remarks on the whole scenario. We have analyzed various case studies regarding the impact of lockdown on migrants and its effect on the economy and employment, how the matter was rather politicized by State Government and the opposition party, and also covered the various petitions filed on the pretext of it. Further, we have analyzed what all needs to be done to keep things intact and how we can safeguard the Human Rights of the Migrant Workers and provide protection to the constitutionally enshrined rights of migrants to live life with freedom and dignity.
