Lectotype: Female, [Argentina, Buenos Aires], “ C. Bruch, La Plata, 1904” “ Pimpla holmbergi Brèthes ” “ Pimpla holmbergi, Lectotypus, Tow´65”. [MACN-34805].

Paralectotype: Male, “[Argentina, Buenos Aires], Bs. Aires, La Plata” “ Pimpla holmbergi Brèthes ” “6819”. [MACN-34806].

Comments: The original description was published in Brèthes (1905). Lectotype designated by Townes & Townes (1966).

Current status: Scambus holmbergi (Brèthes, 1904).
