Description

In this release we have added new features that can drastically improve the speed of EEG decoding. We have also added a new, cleaner plotting theme that is colour blindness friendly.

New features include:

  • Normalisation of data to be within the range of 0-1 prior to decoding. Normalisation is done across trials separately for each feature. This greatly improves the speed of LIBSVM when using large EEG datasets (and can be over 100x faster in certain situations).

  • Multiple 'quiet mode' options that determine the amount of information that DDTBOX prints to the MATLAB command line. When debugging and testing your analyses, it can be useful to see all of the relevant warnings and information. Once you know everything is working, you can suppress all text output to make decoding run more than twice as fast.

  • A new plotting theme called 'cooper', based on code kindly provided by Dr Patrick Cooper. This clean and minimal plotting style uses shaded areas to denote error regions, and uses a colour palette that is visually appealing and colour blindness friendly.
