  • 1. NHERI SimCenter @ UC Berkeley
  • 2. University of Washington
  • 3. University of Manchester, UK

Description

This open-source research application provides a tool that can be used to predict the response of structures subjected to water-borne hazard events like tsunami and storm surge. Major Update (v4.2.0):

  • Updated Examples:
  1. Four examples for stochastic wave loading (JONSWAP spectra) that showcase UQ capabilities locally and remotely.
  2. One example in Taichi Lang demonstrating local high-performance computing for real-time wave loading.
  3. Three examples in the Celeris wave-solver showing near-real time performance for both wave flumes experiments and field-scale bathymetries, e.g. Loiza, Puerto Rico.
  4. Five examples in the Material Point Method (MPM) solver demonstrating various wave and debris flumes across the world. Remote Jobs:
  • HPC Changes:
  1. Migration to Stampede3 from the Frontera supercomputer for improved run-times and longevity.
  2. 'Share Job' feature now available to allow users to share simulation jobs across DesignSafe projects and users.
  3. 'Open Job Folder' feature will take you directly to your remote job's output files on DesignSafe.
  4. 'View Job Metadata' feature will take you to DesignSafe's comprehensive metadata page automatically.
  • Bug-Fixes
  1. Greatly improved support for HydroUQ on Windows and Mac machines, as well as on Linux.
  2. Fixed bugs in launching Python processes on various operating systems.
  3. Improved MPM and Celeris modules so that they are more robust and easier to use.

This work is based on material supported by the National Science Foundation under grants CMMI 1612843 and 2131111.
