Coronula diadema (Linnaeus, 1767)

MATERIALEXAMINED. — SEAMOUNT 2, stn DW 277, 33°59.92’N, 28°20.56’W, 1000 m to 33°59.64’N, 28°20.81’W, 945 m, 1 disarticulated plate (MNHN Ci 2911).
REMARKS
Coronula diadema only occurs on cetaceans. However, it is common to collect eroded pieces of its shell from the seafloor at greater depths (Young 1999: 621, 2000: 97).
