Description

Key to the species of Hierodulinae from China

(modified from Schwarz, Ehrmann & Shcherbakov 2018)

1. Forefemur with 5 posteroventral spines; afa membranous, S-shaped, covered by long and dense setae (genus Mekongomantis Schwarz, Ehrmann & Shcherbakov, 2018)................. M. quinquespinosa Schwarz, Ehrmann & Shcherbakov, 2018

2. Pronotum with a significant lateral expansion.............................................................. 3

- Pronotum without significant lateral expansion............................................................. 6

3. metazona about two times as long as prozona; tsg of inner forefemur pigmented; L4A with a simple long sdpl; afa simplified, not distinctly bilobed (Rhombomantis Ehrmann & Borer, 2015)................................................ 4
