Description
We use our computer tests for testing and improving the simple and choice reaction times of a sportsman. The number of sound signals in a test is 20, 40 or 100, the time period between signals lies in the interval 1-2 seconds. We use 1, 2 or 4 different signals. The tested person must respond to the sound signal by pressing the corresponding button. For the testing, 10 students of the Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sport aged 17-22 have been invited. One month after a special training including our computer tests for about 30 minutes weekly the simple reaction time improved by 15-20% on the average, the 2-signal choice reaction time - by 20-25% and the 4-signal choice reaction time - by 10-15%. The main advantage of this method is to train the athlete to maintain attention for a sufficiently long period of time.
