Los moluscos de los ríos de la Comunidad Valenciana (España)

Description

The distribution of 29 taxa of freshwater molluscs from 62 rivers and streams in the Valencian Community is given. The most frequent taxa were: Physella acuta (66.1%), Ancylus fluviatilis (46.8%), Portamopyrgus antipodarum (45%), Radix peregra (40.4%) and Melanopsis dufouri (29.4%). Theodoxus velascoi and Psilunio littoralis populations have been found in the study area. The highest diversity (7 taxa) was found in Amadorio and Barranco de San Antonio streams. These streams are characterized by their good conservation status.
