Matlab routines for computing strain rate and rotation from GNSS velocity timeseries

  • 1. SIO/UCSD

Description

calc_strain.m - calculate strain and rotation tensors from GNSS velocities (examples provided, n*.dat)

rot_mu.m - calculate finite rotation of fault segments for a given coefficient of friction (assume initially optimal orientation) and orientation of the principal stress axes

fig_rot_faults_mod85.m, fig_rot_faults_mod95.m - plot data produced by rot_mu.m, for sigma_2 azimuth of 85 and 95 degrees, respectively

utm2ll.m, utm2ll2.m - utilities for conversion between geographic and UTM (Cartesian) coordinates

circular_arrow.m - plot a circular arrow
