O BISERICĂ DE ZID DIN SECOLELE VI-VII DE LA MONUMENTUL ARHEOLOGIC SOBARI (SOROCA)

The study highlights paleo-Christian churches and monasteries at the Sobari Archaeological Monument (Soroca), and, exactly, at Bechir Cave near the town of Soroca, and also at the monastic cave complex in Butuceni (Orheiul Vechi). A series of evaluations - Christian, architectural, iconographic, folkloric and chronological – were made to prove an exceptional, sometimes unique, importance of these objects for the history of our land. Some of these valences exceed their local or national value and can fall into categories of models that can complement the Christian heritage in general, or the European and the world cultural heritage
