Description
This dataset contains the TM4-ECPL global chemistry-transport model results as netcdf files that are used for the figures and the discussion in the paper by Baker et al. on "Changing atmospheric acidity as a modulator of nutrient deposition and ocean biogeochemistry" under revision for Science Advances.
The simulations are described in the paper by Kanakidou M., Myriokefalitakis, S., Tsagkaraki, M., Atmospheric inputs of nutrients to the Mediterranean Sea, Deep Sea Research II, 171 104606, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.dsr2.2019.06.014, 2020.
The data concern
1- annual mean distribution of the pH of the near-surface aerosol in the accumulation (aerosolphacc) and in the coarse (aerosolphcoa) modes for present (year 2010), past (year 1850) and future ( year 2100) anthropogenic and biomass burning emissions.
2- Annual mean near-surface partitioning of ammonium (NH4+/(NH4++NH3) (enh4) and of nitrate (NO3-/(NO3-+HNO3) (eno3) for the present, past and future simulations.
3- Monthly mean wet (wet_dep_) and total (dep_) deposition fluxes of the sum of NH4+and NH3 (nhx) , the sum of NO3- and HNO3 (no3hno3), soluble Fe (dfe) and soluble P (dp) for the present, past and future simulations.
4- Deposition Regimes for accumulation (Regime_Dep_acc) and coarse (Regime_Dep_Coa) mode particles for past, present, future simulations, defined and calculated as explained by Nenes, A., Pandis, S.
