Sarcophaginae

Description

Inventory of Sarcophaginae species from the Humid Chaco ecoregion

Here we presented an inventory of Sarcophaginae species recorded in the Humid Chaco ecoregion. A total of 620 specimens are listed (378 obtained by sampling and 242 from entomological collections), which correspond to 62 species. Thirty-one species are recorded for the first time in the Humid Chaco ecoregion, of which ten are new records for Argentina, two for Brazil and three for Paraguay. Six species are recorded as endemic to the Humid Chaco ecoregion (Table 2).
