Description
Aniruddha Belsare obtained his degree in Veterinary Sciences from the Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai in 1996. He has worked as a Zoo veterinarian with the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Pune. The Maharashtra Forest Department has frequently sought his help on problems ranging from rampaging macaques in the city to leopards trapped in snares or needing treatment at their captive facilities. He is also associated with research projects involving wild Indian wolves in southern Maharashtra, and wild leopards in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This manual is the outcome of his experiences in treating scores of leopards in Maharashtra.
