Amblyomma flavomaculatum

Description

41. Amblyomma flavomaculatum (Lucas, 1846).

An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Squamata: Varanidae and Pythonidae; immature stages have also been collected from those hosts; adult ticks alone have been recovered from Crocodilia: Crocodylidae, and Squamata: Elapidae and Iguanidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Charruau et al. 2017). There are no records of Amblyomma flavomaculatum causing human parasitism.
