Description

212. Ixodes sinaloa Kohls and Clifford, 1966.

A Nearctic and Neotropical species, all of whose known parasitic stages have been found on Rodentia: Cricetidae; females and nymphs have been collected from Rodentia: Heteromyidae; nymphs alone have been recovered from Didelphimorphia: Didelphidae. There are no records of Ixodes sinaloa causing human parasitism.
