Ixodes howelli Cooley and Kohls 1938

Description

104. Ixodes howelli Cooley and Kohls, 1938a.

A Nearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Passeriformes: Hirundinidae. Adults and nymphs have been collected from Passeriformes: Fringillidae; nymphs alone have been recovered from Falconiformes: Falconidae. There are no records of Ixodes howelli causing human parasitism.
