Description
The COmmercial Microwave links for urban rainfall MONitoring (CoMMon) field campaign dataset provides a wide range of data including 38-GHz dual-polarized commercial microwave link (CML) with temporarily shielded antenna radomes at a high temporal resolution (4 s). The campaign took place in Dübendorf, Switzerland between March 2011 and the end of March 2012. The authors decided to make available the data set of one 1.85 km long CML accompanied by five disdrometers and three rain gauges along. Additional data from two nearby airport weather stations and three MeteoSwiss weather stations are also provided. The CoMMon field campaign was performed by the Urban Water Management department (SWW) of Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology - Urban Water Management) and LTE, the Remote Sensing Lab of EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).
