Aureotilla hebraea (BISCHOFF 1920) new status
Aureotilla madecassa subsp. hebraea BISCHOFF 1920: 315 (subsp. nov., descr. ♀, Madagascar; syntypes " Rég. de Sakarami, M. de Rothschild, [19]05" [MNHN], " Nossibé " [ETHZ]).
Aureotilla madecassa hebraea BISCHOFF: BISCHOFF 1921: 819, 825 (pl. II, fig. 132).
Trogaspidia (Aureotilla) madegassa (!) var. hebraea (BISCHOFF): OLSOUFIEFF 1938: 187 (key, tax., descr. ♀, Madagascar), 211 (cat. ♀, Madagascar).
D i s t r i b u t i o n: Madagascar: Prov. Antsiranana: Sakaramy.
The females of A. hebraea differ from A. madecassa by the presence of a genal carina and having golden setae on terga IV and V. They also differ in the shape of the pygidial area. These are characters regarded as of species-level significance in related genera.
