Material examined. EAST TIMOR. East of Atauro Island, 08°13’48”S 125°36’56”E, outer reef, coral reef slope, dead coral, 16 m depth, 20 Sep 2012, coll. A. Murray & P.A. Hutchings, 1 spec. (AM W.53029). East of Cape Fatucama, 300 m off Jesus Backside Beach, 08°31’16”S 125°36’46”E, dead coral rubble with epiphytic growth and sponges, 12–15 m depth, 19 Sep 2012, coll. A. Murray, P.A. Hutchings, L.E. Hughes & A. Reid, 1 spec. (AM W.45802).
Habitat. From fine to coarse sand, among algae, inside corals and coralline algae; intertidal to about 30 m depth (San Martín 2005); among dead coral rubble with epiphytic growth and sponges.
Distribution. Australia (Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales; San Martín 2005). First record for East Timor.
