Description
Hexapanopeus angustifrons (Benedict & Rathbun, 1891)
Panopeus angustifrons Benedict & Rathbun, 1891: 373, pl. 22, fig.3; pl. 24, fig.18.
Material examined. None.
Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (Massachusetts to Florida), Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, Antilles, and Brazil (Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Bahia, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul) (Abele & Kim 1986; Coelho & Ramos-Porto 1995; Almeida et al. 2007b; Coelho et al. 2008; Felder et al. 2009; Thoma et al. 2009; Vieira & Calazans 2010; Alves et al. 2012a).
Remarks. Previous records on the coast of São Paulo include Ubatuba (Bertini et al. 2004) and Ilha Vitória (Alves et al. 2012a).
