Tychius bajtenovi Caldara 1986

Description

Tychius bajtenovi group

Remarks. This group is characterized by a peculiar character, unique in the genus: male pygidium without transverse ridge (Fig. 122). Otherwise it should be related to the T. morawitzi group (Fig. 121) as suggested by the shape of the genitalia (especially in the female). It clearly differs from this group by the seven segments of the antennal funicle cylindrical and lacking broad scales and the absence of seta-like scales on pronotum and elytra. All the species probably feed on Hedysarum.
