Description
Eco-friendly products promote green living that helps to conserve energy and also prevent various kind of pollution. They prove to be boon for the environment and also prevent human health from deterioration. The increased amount of carbon dioxide emissions from industries implies that it is high time to use eco-friendly materials in construction. Bamboo is one sustainable material which helps to reduces pollution. they are one of the fastest-growing wild grasses on earth which are capable of producing 35% oxygen more than other trees and is environmental friendly. Recently in residential construction a worldwide interest in bamboo has been seen. It reaches heights of full maturity in as little as three years and regenerates quickly after harvesting. There are so many species are available, some species have the same strength ratio as steel. Hollow bricks are the recently used material for construction. Bamboo can be successfully installed inside concrete hollow block. In this paper development of bamboo reinforced concrete blocks and their characteristics are reported.
