Summary

The article presents the data concerning renal processes of regulation of carbohydrate status 11th, 26th and 46th day after the administration of diabetogenic dose of alloxan (160 mg/kg) to white non-linear matured male rats. It is established, that from the 11th to the 46th day of alloxan-induced experimental diabetes mellitus, the concentration of glucose in blood plasma remains consistently high with a simultaneous increase in its excretion. The elevation of the latter occurs against the background of an increase in the filtration load, which exceeds the ability of glucose transport in the proximal nephron, especially on the 26th and 46th day of the experiment. Therefore, the increase in glucose excretion should be considered as a consequence of the relative functional insufficiency of its reabsorption, the fluctuations of which at different stages of diabetes require further analysis.

Key words: experimental diabetes mellitus, alloxan, carbohydrate status, hyperglycemia, glucosuria, hyperfiltration.
