Augochlora posadensis

Description

Augochlora posadensis (Schrottky, 1914)

Oxystoglossa posadensis Schrottky, 1914: 627, holotype ³ (whereabout unknown) from Argentina, Misiones, Posadas.

Comments. This name was considered an unassigned position within Augochlora s.l. by Moure & Hurd (1987) and unplaced by Moure (2007). The type is also probably lost and the identity of this species is uncertain considering only the male original description. As for the previous name, we did not find any clues about the identity of this species and its generic placement among augochlorines. For minimizing changes we keep this species as unplaced within Augochlora s.l.
