Description

Key to known Triaenogryllacris species

1. Head completely black (Fig. 1B, 6A), subgenital plate of the known males with three distal processes (Fig. 1D, 5F)....... 2

Reddish-brown head (Fig. 4D), male subgenital plate with two distal processes (Fig. 5 D-E)............... T. diaena n. sp.

2. Ocellar spot red or pink (Fig. 1B, 2B, 3B); variably colored legs, but never with black spots on the legs (Fig. 1A, 2A, 3A)................................................................................... T. triaena (Karny, 1929)

Ocellar spot whitish (Fig. 6A); coloration of the legs pink; the apex of all femora and base of all tibiae black (Fig. 6A, D).................................................................................... T. horaciotrianai n. sp.
