Claviderma crassum Ivanov & Scheltema, 2008: 16–19; figs. 1D, 9, 10, 13C–E, 25; tab. 4a; suppl. fig. 4.
Type locality. Guiana Basin (8°4.2’N, 54°21.3’W), 1000 m.
Type material. Holotype USNM 1112621 (1 spm); paratypes USNM 1138691 (1 slide with sclerites), USNM 1138692 (6 spms + 1 slide with sclerites + 1 slide with radula and jaws), USNM 1138693 (15 spms).
Remarks. USNM 1138693, designated as paratypes of C. crassum, includes 5 specimens that do not belong to this species. These specimens have been separated by the first author, and one specimen dissolved for sclerite and jaw preparations on seven slides.
