Lectotype (Ali in Nasir & Ali, Fl. Pakistan 150: 12. 1983): Löfling s.n. , Herb. Linn. No. 308.3 (LINN).
Generitype of Cynanchum Linnaeus (vide Meyer, Comment. Pl. Afr. Austr: 216. 1838).
Current name: Cynanchum acutum L. (Asclepiadaceae).
