Lectotype (Bridson in Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Rubiaceae 2: 713. 1988): Herb. Clifford: 59, Coffea 1 (BM-000558021).
Generitype of Coffea Linnaeus.
Current name: Coffea arabica L. (Rubiaceae).
