Description
Cistus laurifolius Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 523. 1753.
"Habitat in Hispania." RCN: 3888.
Lectotype (Carazo Román & Jiménez Albarrán in Bot. Complut. 14: 111. 1989): Herb. Linn. No. 689.4 (LINN).
Current name: Cistus laurifolius L. (Cistaceae).
Note: Specific epithet spelled “laurifolia” in the protologue.
