Description
Antirrhinum minus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 617. 1753.
"Habitat in glareosis Europae." RCN: 4452.
Lectotype (Speta in Stapfia 7: 9. 1980): Herb. Linn. No. 767.38 (LINN).
Current name: Chaenorhinum minus (L.) Lange (Scrophulariaceae).
Note: Pennell (in Monogr. Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia 1:318. 1935) discussed the original elements but did not choose a type. Although Sutton (Revis. Tribe Antirrhineae: 118. 1988) indicated Herb. Clifford: 324, Antirrhinum 10 (BM) as lectotype, Speta’s choice of 767.38 (LINN) has priority.
