Description

Lycopsis aegyptiaca Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 138. 1753.

"Habitat in Aegypto." RCN: 1112.

Basionym of: Asperugo aegyptiaca (L.) L. (1763).

Neotype (Mill in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 53: 802. 2004): Jordan. Petra, 15 Mar 1974, L. Boulos & D. Al-Eisawi (with W. Jallad) 6290 (E; iso- IABH).

Current name: Anchusa aegyptiaca (L.) DC. (Boraginaceae).
