Description

Selago spuria Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 629. 1753.

"Habitat in Aethiopia." RCN: 4555.

Lectotype (Hilliard in Edinburgh J. Bot. 52: 284, f. 16. 1995): [icon] "Melampyrum Africanum, spicatum, foliis angustissimis, dentatis" in Burman, Rar. Afric. Pl.: 115, t. 42, f. 3. 1739. - Typotype: Herb. Burman (G).

Current name: Pseudoselago spuria (L.) Hilliard (Scrophulariaceae).
