Pyrus malus Linnaeus var. cestiana Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 479. 1753.

Neotype (Mabberley & al. in Telopea 9: 423. 2001): Cultivated. Badger’s Keep Nursery, Chewton, Victoria, Australia, 31 Mar 1999 (fr.), D.J. Mabberley, K. Robertson & C. Winmill 2474 (NSW; iso- BM, FHO, L, MEL).
Current name: Malus pumila Mill. 'Court-Pendu Plat’ (Rosaceae).
