Description
Echinops corymbosus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 815. 1753.
"Habitat in Apulia, Hellesponto, Lemno, T[h]racia, in campis." RCN: 6009.
Basionym of: Carthamus corymbosus (L.) L. (1763).
Lectotype (Turland in Jarvis & Turland in Taxon 47: 360. 1998): Herb. Clifford: 391, Echinops 2, sheet 26 (BM-000646905).
Current name: Cardopatium corymbosum (L.) Pers. (Asteraceae).
