Description
Gypsophila altissima Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 407. 1753.
"Habitat in Sibiria." RCN: 3188.
Lectotype (Lazkov in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 53: 1052. 2004): Herb. Linn. No. 579.10 (LINN).
Current name: Gypsophila altissima L. (Caryophyllaceae).
Note: Although Barkoudah (in Wentia 9: 68. 1962) stated that Herb. Linn, sheets 579.10, 11 and 12 "are [the] only authentic specimens", this statement does not effect typification.
