Description

Baccharis arborea Linnaeus, Mantissa Plantarum Altera: 284. 1771.

"Habitat in Ind. orient, insulae Johannae sylvis. Koenig." RCN: 6211.

Lectotype (Brenan in Kew Bull. 21: 427. 1967): Herb. Linn. No. 992.3 (LINN).

Current name: Vernonia colorata (Willd.) Drake (Asteraceae).
