Description
Nama zeylanica Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 226. 1753.
"Habitat in India." RCN: 1848.
Lectotype (Verdcourt in Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Hydrophyllaceae: 4. 1989): Herb. Hermann 3: 42, No. 117 (BM-000621954).
Generitype of Nama Linnaeus (1753), nom. rej.
Current name: Hydrolea zeylanica (L.) Vahl (Hydrophyllaceae).
Note: Nama Linnaeus (1753), nom. rej. in favour of Nama Linnaeus (1759).
Davenport (in Rhodora 90: 198. 1988) indicated 322.1 (LINN) as lectotype, but it was a later addition to the herbarium and is not original material for the name.
