  • 1. Department of Botany, Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London, UK

Description

Mucor glaucus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1186. 1753.

"Habitat in Citris, Melonibus, Pomis aliisque corruptis." RCN: 8533.

Type not designated.

Original material: [icon] in Micheli, Nov. Pl. Gen.: 212, t. 91, f. 1. 1729.

Current name: Aspergillus glaucus (L.: Fr.) Link (Trichocomaceae).

Note: Pitt & Sampson (in Regnum Veg. 128: 19. 1993) designated No. 211383 (IMI) as a neotype but the existence of original material for the Linnaean name appears to preclude the neotypification of the name (Art. 9.11).
