Original material: Herb. Linn. No. 1274.109 (LINN); Herb. Linn. No. 1274.106 (LINN).
Current name: Chondrus spermophorus (L.) Grev. (Gigartinaceae).
Note: The application of this name is uncertain but it may threaten names in Gracilaria Grev. and Gelidium J.V. Lamour., and so might prove to be a candidate for rejection.
